Inside Sales & Service Specialist – Compressed Air Systems (Clifton, NJ)

Mission
Development of new, existing, and lost customers with Alkin Compressors Inc. Work in collaboration with all aspects of Sales and Service to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Perform all duties in accordance with Alkin Compressors standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
New Sales of Equipment
Generate Equipment and Ancillaries quotes for equipment to serve Distributors/Dealers/End Customers
Regularly engage with sales team members as needed to align on activities
Generate qualified leads for self and other team members
Service Sales on Equipment
Generate service plan and fixed price repair quotes for equipment – existing and prospective accounts
Regularly engage with service team members as needed to align on activities
Generate qualified leads for self and other team members
Customer Database & Quote Management
Manage Project Quote Log for assistance to Sales Forecasting
Update customer contact information in CRM to ensure accuracy
Ensure all details are included for service & sales teams to communicate
Update install database to accurately reflect business potential
Mine install base for customer recovery.
Professional Development (10%) Through training and experience, polish/develope skills such as time management, customer relations, effective communication skills, data management, and other skills needed to be proficient in this role.
Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in either a sales or technical role. Experience with air compressors, pumps or similar is required.
Education:
Minimum 2-year Business, or Marketing degree, or equivalent combination of education̉ and experience.
Skills:
Must be a self-directed team player, who has a positive attitude, and is customer success oriented. Must also have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks and time management throughout the day.
Travel:
Limited travel – Tradeshows & Occasional Distributor/Customer Visits
