Role Purpose The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing, IT will lead the procurement activities for multiple IT categories, including software, hardware, telecom, and infrastructure services, with a focus on driving comprehensive category strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and aligning procurement initiatives with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, communication, and execution of category and sourcing strategies across IT categories (software, hardware, telecom, managed services) to align with business priorities and market trends.

Conduct detailed spend analysis, supplier segmentation, and identify opportunities to increase spend under contract while driving cost optimization and supplier consolidation.

Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels and functions to ensure alignment with procurement strategies and organizational goals.

Define and deploy standardized processes, policies, and templates for IT procurement strategies and performance measurement.

Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to drive performance and deliver strategic objectives.

Lead supplier negotiations for maximum value creation, including redlining contracts and negotiating deals with vendors, such as Microsoft and AWS.

Oversee end‑to‑end contract management, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and ensuring compliance to mitigate risks and optimize value.

Drive supplier management processes to ensure strong SLAs, quality, reliability, and timely resolution of service issues.

Achieve KPIs across cost, cash flow, supply chain, and service delivery, maintaining a multi‑year strategy and pipeline of initiatives.

Ensure compliance with corporate policies, such as data privacy, ethics, and information protection.

Partner with IT consultants to enhance leverage in sourcing strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum of 10 years of IT procurement experience, with a proven track record of managing large‑scale IT sourcing programs.

Experience managing $100M–$200M+ in IT spend across multiple categories

Enterprise‑level IT strategic sourcing expertise, including vendor negotiations and category ownership

Global management experience, including leadership of direct reports and stakeholder engagement

Experience building and transforming IT sourcing programs

Proficiency in contracts and negotiating with major vendors

Desired Skills

Advanced degree preferred

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Ability to drive innovation and scalable solutions within procurement processes

Familiarity with holistic IT procurement strategies, particularly with software and emerging technologies like AI

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and levels

Travel Less than 25%

Location This position can be based in Charlotte, NC, or Corning, NY (HQ). (HYBRID)

The range for this position is $155,614.00 – $213,969.00 assuming full‑time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
