Your Opportunity We have an immediate opportunity for a
Water / Wastewater Operator
located in New Jersey. Under the direction of our Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems at multiple locations throughout New Jersey.
This position will be based in our Toms River, NJ office.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assure the proper operation of water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems in accordance with company policies and procedures and in conformance with the requirements of NJDEP.
Perform the necessary monitoring required as part of the operation of the water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems.
Perform all necessary preventive maintenance on water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems.
Inspect daily and maintain the condition and appearance of all stations.
Maintain all records pertaining to maintenance and treatment as required.
Conduct sampling of the water distribution system and wastewater treatment plants and collection systems as needed.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
This position will require driving long distances on a daily basis within the state. The position will also require the employee to be available nights and weekends to answer emergency service calls should they arise.
May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and/or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions.
