Job Overview: Responsible for overseeing integrated clinical services within the pharmacy workflow, ensuring consistency and efficiency across teams. These services include immunizations, point-of-care testing, patient outreach, and implementing collaborative practice agreements. The role focuses on optimizing clinical operations, maintaining compliance, and driving service expansion without disrupting core pharmacy processes.

Job Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities (NOTE: Should equate to 70% of overall job responsibility allocation)

Oversee the integrated clinical service activities of all pharmacists and technicians.

Develops and communicates goals and responsibilities for all pharmacists and technicians performing integrated clinical services.

Develops and communicates goals and responsibilities for all pharmacy teams, as appropriate.

Maintains standardization in clinical services across all pharmacy teams.

Collaborates with managed care department where applicable to increase awareness of services and opportunities for reimbursement from third party payers.

Ensures goals and budgeted expenses for clinical services are met and maintains fiscal reports with regards to revenue, payroll and expenses.

Develops and oversees periodic revisions of policies, procedures and educational/training materials to reflect continuously changing clinical guidelines, recommendations and practice environments.

Establishes and manages logistics for high-volume vaccination clinics, ensuring smooth execution of off-site flu clinics and community partnership events.

Manages the procurement and supply of vaccines and lab testing products for all pharmacies.

Develops and maintains local vendor relationships.

Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures and programs; and enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations.

Implementation, development, and expansion of existing and newly established collaborative practice agreements and clinical services.

Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications:

Pharm.D. degree

Registered Pharmacist with Minnesota license in good standing

Experience:

At least one year of experience working in a community pharmacy that offers structured clinical services.

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

Strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

In-depth understanding of pharmacy operations and clinical services in community practice

Knowledge of common disease states, therapies, and medication therapy management (MTM)

Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements

Proficiency in SQL query writing and workflow analysis

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy

Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work across all levels of staff and leadership

Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Physical Environment/Demands: Office Roles:

Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.

Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
