Scalehouse Operators play a vital role in supporting day‑to‑day operations and administrative tasks associated with scale operations. They serve as the first point of contact for customers, drivers, vendors, and visitors and require a positive, go‑getter mentality paired with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all industry safety rules, company procedures, and applicable regulations.
Accurately produce computer‑generated scale tickets for incoming and outgoing trucks.
Provide customer support by assisting with purchase decisions, answering questions, and responding to phone inquiries.
Coordinate with loaders, haulers, and dispatch to ensure accurate product weights and deliveries.
Handle cash transactions, COD records, and daily reporting with precision.
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the scale house and equipment.
Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping.
Deliver excellent customer service while managing aggregate dispatch and operations.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Go‑getter mentality with a strong sense of initiative.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Background in the construction or aggregate industry a plus.
Comfortable using computers; ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, division).
Highly detail‑oriented with accurate data entry skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team‑focused mindset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple demands.
Bilingual (preferred).
