Position Overview CBH is seeking an Admissions Coordinator who will be responsible for working directly with prospective patients and families on inquiry/intake calls and coordinating patient screenings and admissions. He/she provides pertinent information to utilization reviewers.
Responsibilities
Answers inquiry calls efficiently and courteously
Addresses any questions callers may have relating to the facility and the admissions process
Coordinates and schedules prospective patient screenings
Coordinates and processes all admissions to the facility
Obtains demographic and financial information during inquiry calls
Forwards financial coverage information to the billing unit, verifying insurance information as necessary
Maintains the Inquiry Call Disposition Log and follows up accordingly
Ensures the clinical and financial screening criteria have been met prior to admission
Recognizes and assists in crisis situations and provides interventions based on training and experience
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the mental health/behavioral health field a plus
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must pass drug screen and background screening for employment
Ability to type 65 WPM required
Competent computer skills
Knowledge of KIPU a plus
Schedule Requirements The position follows a consistent weekly schedule of 10AM-6PM, Wednesday through Friday, and 11AM-7PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
