Job Summary The Senior Project Manager, Portfolio Strategy & Product Innovation is responsible for coordinating, establishing, and executing projects that drive both current and new product innovations within the Novocure Oncology organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product & Portfolio Strategy, this individual will partner closely with program leadership and cross‑functional project teams to support the execution of strategic initiatives and new product launch across our portfolio.

This role requires exceptional project management expertise, particularly in medical device software, consumables, and digital solutions. The Senior Project Manager will operate with high autonomy in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment, balancing priorities across multiple projects with strong attention to detail. In addition to managing key projects from initiation through launch, the role also supports the overall project management infrastructure, including metrics, reporting, administration, and business reviews.

This is a full time, exempt role tied to the Chesterbrook office reporting to the Senior Director, Product Portfolio & Strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead or support cross‑functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage portfolio and process initiatives across their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and launch timelines

Serve as the operational point of contact across Product Development, Commercial, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Clinical and other functional teams

Collaborate with product development teams to plan, execute, and monitor cross‑functional projects, providing input on products and services while managing scope, timeline, budget, resourcing, risks, and key milestones

Manage and coordinate Portfolio Development Team (PDT) meetings, maintain Product Innovation dashboards, and lead the Product Innovation Leadership Team (PILT) committee meetings, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to lead without formal authority

Drive and track product launch readiness through clear roadmaps, issue resolution, stakeholder alignment, and launch planning

Develop mechanisms to monitor and report project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership

Contribute to best‑practice adoption in project management tools, reporting standards, and team processes

Manage requirements gathering, planning, and change management in partnership with stakeholders to meet business objectives

Ensure stakeholder engagement and team accountability across diverse global teams

Qualifications / Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred

Minimum of 5 years of project management and product development experience, with at least 2 years in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment

Strong experience in project planning tools including Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Smartsheet or any project management SaaS tool as well as strong analytical and communication skills

Experience in oncology and product development highly preferred

Demonstrated strong autonomy and influence across a matrixed organization

Adept at managing multiple workstreams, driving clarity in ambiguity, and solving complex problems involving multiple functions

Skilled at engaging stakeholders from diverse functions and geographies to drive execution

Demonstrates problem‑solving skills by independently managing complex, cross‑functional projects; provides clarity amid ambiguity, drives issue resolution through detailed analysis, and contributes to setting program goals, timelines, and policies that enhance project management effectiveness across the organization

Technical acumen to understand product development risks and scale mitigation appropriately

Proven success managing medium to large scale global projects with strategic and organizational impact

Other

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally, as needed
