We are seeking Freelance Hospitality Staff / Tour Guides for an exciting on-site contract role located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The primary responsibilities include leading guided culinary and cultural tours, providing exceptional customer service, sharing local history and insights, and ensuring participants have an enjoyable experience. The role also involves engaging with guests, offering recommendations, and promoting upcoming events or offerings. This is an opportunity for energetic individuals passionate about hospitality and tourism. Qualifications
Strong skills in Guided Tours and knowledge of History to effectively lead and engage groups in cultural and culinary experiences Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to ensure a positive experience for all guests Experience in Sales and building relationships is an asset for promoting future events and offerings Passion for food, culture, and local attractions is highly desirable Availability for on-site, flexible scheduling in Fort Lauderdale, FL What to know
Self-employed individuals and/or those with flexible schedules preferred. Each tour is 2.5 - 3 hours long and typically take place during the weekday or evening. Prefer applicants to be at least 21 years old, although exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. Requirements for the position
Only applicants living in or close to Fort Lauderdale will be considered. Must be available to lead tours weekdays and/or weeknights You must be responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and be on time every single time (absolutely no exceptions) You must have a car or reliable transportation to get to the tour meeting point on time. Must have the ability to think on your feet / problem solve Must have a reliable cell phone with back up battery (or ability to charge) You must be able to take pics during your tours and send them to the company owner after each tour. You must be warm and friendly and initiate eye contact with each guest, establishing rapport and making every guest feel welcome. Interviews
