Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the teardown, assembly, and testing of fuel injection products, including both pumps and injectors.
Primary Duties
Learn & follow detailed work instructions
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below
Breakdown
Disassembly of pumps and injectors
Inspect / organize / route all components
Clean individual parts with cleaners, buffing wheels, sandblast or slurry machines
Assembly
General electro/mechanical assembly
Measure and adjust tolerance / calibrations
Individual component inspection
Semi high paced single piece flow assembly line.
Testing
Install unit onto appropriate test equipment.
Perform pre-determined functional/diagnostic testing.
Trouble shoot failures / route to repair if necessary.
Scan / record test results into proper database.
Final assembly / leak testing.
Clean and perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
Ability to work as a team member
Basic mechanical / trouble shooting ability including the use of hand tools and some delicate / specialty tooling
Commitment to producing a quality product and meeting production demands
Knowledge of customer requirements as they relate to their job function
Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences.
Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent
