Fire Sprinkler Fitter
Position Overview Silco seeks a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial properties. The role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong technical skills who are passionate about protecting people and property.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with project specifications, NFPA standards, and local building codes. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine the layout and configuration of sprinkler systems. Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and other components, ensuring proper alignment and connection.
poh Test newly installed sprinkler systems to verify functionality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of existing fire protection systems, including troubleshooting and repairing issues as needed.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and inspectors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE and following OSHA guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and project documentation.
Provide training and guidance to other team members as needed.

Qualifications
High school répar diploma or equivalent, completion of a formal apprenticeship program or trade school in sprinkler fitting preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in the installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
Ohio license(s) for sprinkler systems, fire mains, and fire alarms required.
Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local building and fire codes.
Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair sprinkler system components.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and successful passing of pre‑employment drug, alcohol, and background checks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work at various heights.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs as needed.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Capability to work in confined spaces or outdoor environments as required.
Requires occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
Must wear and properly use required PPE continuously.
Capable of driving company vehicles and transporting equipment or materials when needed.
Ability to remain alert and focused while performing detailed or repetitive tasks.
