Speech LanguagePathologistPosition Description

The SpeechPathologist is responsible forfacilitatingthe recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility.

Qualifications Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist(SLP):

Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state.

Current CPR certification.

At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist(SLP):

Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.

Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.

Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.

Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.
