The Sous Chef supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring all food is produced safely, efficiently and consistently. This role assists the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager with maintaining quality standards, managing food production, and keeping the kitchen organized and clean. The Sous Chef is expected to help guide kitchen staff, uphold food safety practices and maintain a smooth workflow during service. Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to company recipes and standards Assist in planning and executing daily food production Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment and workstations Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards Support inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries Assist in training and guiding kitchen staff as needed Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to maintain timely food service Assist with menu preparation and recipe testing as directed Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership Perks & Benefits
