The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. Services include enterprise architecture assessments, systems engineering and integration, testing, planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, acquisition support, and cybersecurity.
The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. It supports the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Responsibilities
Secure, defend, and preserve data, networks, net‑centric capabilities, and designated information systems.
Ensure appropriate cybersecurity controls and protective measures are implemented and maintained.
Perform internal defensive actions to protect systems from cyber threats.
Support access control, system security configuration, monitoring, and administration.
Integrate cybersecurity requirements into system engineering and acquisition activities.
Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities including system authorization, continuous monitoring, and compliance maintenance.
Assist in the implementation, assessment, and validation of security controls.
Monitor system security posture and support identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Support development, review, and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
Support audits, inspections, and assessments conducted by Government cybersecurity authorities.
Coordinate with Government leadership, system owners, ISSOs, and other cybersecurity stakeholders.
Ensure systems remain compliant with applicable DoD, IC, and NRO cybersecurity policies and directives.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph in the last 10 years.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant Information Assurance or cybersecurity experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting NRO programs.
Proven working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies and requirements.
Experience integrating cybersecurity into system engineering and acquisition activities.
Ability to perform system security monitoring, administration, and defensive actions.
CompTIA Security+ certification (minimum required).
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD‑approved baseline certification per DoDI 8570 within six months of assignment.
Ability to report to the designated work location at Cape Canaveral, up to full‑time, based on the needs of the customer.
Desired Qualifications
Current compliance with DoDI 8570 baseline certification requirements.
Higher‑level cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CASP+, CEH.
Experience supporting Office of Space Launch (OSL) programs.
Experience supporting SCI and SAP environments.
Familiarity with NRO cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Experience supporting system authorization, cybersecurity inspections, or operational assessments.
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL
Salary: $80,580.00 – $109,020.00
