Job Description
R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our West Sacramento, CA Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn‑point locations, and returning home daily.
Starting pay is $37.04 per hour.
PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment. Requirements
CDL Class A license
1 year combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years
Age 23, or 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
Must pass pre‑employment DOT Physical and drug screen
Must pass a successful road test
Must be dependable
Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
Preferred
Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz‑mat CDL endorsements
Experienced hauling Haz‑mat
Experienced pulling doubles
Any LTL freight experience
