Position Summary

Hiring Range From $80,000 – $100,000

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrates deep knowledge of soft‑pack’s operational capabilities, building customer profiles from various business lines and analyzing the impact of size and charge codes on billing.

Applies critical understanding of Soft‑Pak tables (customer, services, routing, notes, etc.) and showcases operational proficiency with Soft‑Pak functionalities and processes.

Leads ongoing development, governance, and stewardship of Casella’s master data, including products, materials, services, and related items.

Defines and creates Casella’s Gold Standard business requirements to inform ETL logicિયર data migrations.

Partners with the ETL Migration Lead and Casella IT team to validate conversion logic, ensuring all migration processes meet both technical validation test cases and Casella’s Gold Standard business processes.

Extracts and prepares master and transactional data sets from source systems to enable comprehensive analysis, conducts technical object and business data mapping, and detects data inconsistencies in the target system.

Makes informed technical and business decisions for data migration fixes by considering customer impact, Casella IT and business effort, manual intervention, and dependencies on other business groups (Sales, Customer Care, Finance, etc.).

Builds strong relationships with local site stakeholders to facilitate source system data cleanup throughout the migration process and post‑go‑live in the target environment.

Supports the implementation of new fees derived from acquisition data and performs impact assessments on Casella’s Gold Standard fee structures.

Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services, and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of the solid waste industry from an operations, accounting, or financial background, along with demonstrated Soft‑Pak expertise and operational waste‑industry knowledge. The role requires balancing data gathering and analysis while collaborating with key staff to complete critical business projects, necessitating experience with ETL data‑migration processes, functional and technical data mapping, and acquisitions‑related data transformations. A strong desire and aptitude for technical skill development—including a willingness to learn SQL script writing, data querying, and data analysis—are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment are required. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional analytical and formal presentation capabilities, multitask under consistent deadlines, and possess strong time‑management and organizational skills. Proficiency with complex computer applications and financial modeling is expected. An MBA or bachelor’s degree is desired but not required.
