Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Sacramento, CA
We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) float, responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the Company footprint. This technician will be qualified to support our EC130, EC135, and AS350 airframes. This role ensures timely, high-quality transportation services, care, and customer service to patients.

Starting Salary: $76,752 – $111,946 annually (including 20% geo modifier)
IA Stipend: $2,080
Float Stipend: $10,400
Sign‑On Bonus: $12,500
Please note: Float Mechanics are traveling mechanics and do not need to reside in the state of California.
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, and repairs; provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
Manage inventory checks to ensure sufficient supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health, public safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and operations team members.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Three (3) years turboprop and/or turbine‑powered fixed‑wing experience
Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A'P) license
Valid state‑issued driver's license
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations
Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
Must be able to push and/or pull and move 100+ lbs
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
AS350, EC135, EC130 maintenance experience
FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
Related experience under CFR Parts 133, 135 and 145
Autopilot maintenance experience
Avionics and electrical repair experience
