Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Principal, Building Engineer, and Zone Supervisor, this position performs routine and special custodial assignments to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for all students in Memphis Shelby County Schools.

Dust or polish furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windowsills, doors, trim and related furnishings.
Wash and/or clean interior and exterior window and door glass.
Clean and service lavatories, restrooms, locker rooms and shower rooms.
Remove broken glass, paper, and debris from grounds, play areas and parking lots that may cause an unsafe environment. \อบ Clean cooling towers and change air filters.
Sweep or shovel snow and/or ice from outside steps, walks, fire escapes, building entrance and connecting walks as required.
Collect waste paper, boxes and other debris and empty into appropriate outside waste containers.
Move furniture such as teacher's desks, file cabinets, bookcases, tables, chairs, student desks and miscellaneous items and equipment as instructed.
Replace burned‑out lamps, broken windows, door glass, window shades and blinds as instructed.
Perform duties that require the use of ladders.
Report to supervisor items that need repair or any unsafe equipment or condition.
Meet the Board of Education mail truck as requested.
Be available to open or close the building in the Building Engineer's absence.
Report all problems to the Principal when the Building Engineer is absent.
Report problems to the Zone Supervisor when both the흡 Principal and Building Engineer_CELL…
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
