Role Summary Plans, develops, and coordinates in‑house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare training programs, prepares training materials, develops course content, determines methodology, and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness. Utilizes technical expertise as required and continually revises lesson plans.
Main Responsibilities
Provide training on the job.
Mentor workers on the skills and qualifications necessary to perform work.
Support employees in successfully transferring their formal training to the job.
Perform training validations to ensure training effectiveness.
The instructor will also develop an understanding of the production work underway and scheduled for the contract or area they are assigned.
Qualifications Must Have
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of exempt experience; or Master’s degree and 1 year of exempt experience.
NNS Apprentice School graduate.
High school plus 5 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, or military experience.
Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School.
3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience.
Nice to Have
Strong X31 production trade skills and training background.
Good fundamental administrative and organizational abilities, including proficiency with MS Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound critical‑thinking, assessment, andню facilitation skills.
Knowledge of the NNS product line.
