We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care for patients aged 6-17 years. This is a locum assignment with immediate coverage needed following credentialing. The role focuses on delivering high-quality behavioral health services in a structured inpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents in an inpatient unit.
- Manage an average patient census of 25-30, including:
- Daily notes for acute beds.
- Three notes per week for intermediate beds.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, nursing staff, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
- Ensure continuity of care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- No on-call duties and no procedures or surgeries anticipated.
- Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry preferred; Board Eligible in General Psychiatry acceptable.
- Demonstrated experience in inpatient psychiatric care for pediatric populations.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
- Ability to work independently in a solo coverage role while coordinating with support staff.
