Weekend Coverage: One weekend day per week

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,810 - $1,940
SLP Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care hospital
Current Maryland SLP license or Compact license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
BLS certification
MBSImP certification
Proficiency with Cerner EMR charting system
Prior travel healthcare experience
Weekend availability required
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
SLP Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and treatments for adult and geriatric patients
Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing (FEES)
Utilize alternative and augmentative communication devices and strategies
Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and develop compensatory strategies
Educate patients and families on therapy plans and progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Float within hospital units as needed, within scope of practice
Document patient care using Cerner EMR system
Participate in ongoing reassessments and modify diet orders as appropriate
