Family Law Attorney (Missouri & Kansas Licensed)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced *Family Law Attorney with 3–5 years of family law experience* who can *hit the ground running* and confidently *take the lead in trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions*. This role is ideal for an attorney ready to manage a full caseload independently with the support of experienced staff and firm management.
This position offers *hands-on, in-house mentoring with a highly experienced senior attorney who is intentionally dedicated to teaching, trial preparation, and strategic case development*. Responsibilities
* Independently manage a full family law caseload from intake through resolution
* Serve as lead attorney in:
* Trials
* Hearings
* Mediations
* Depositions
* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
* Work collaboratively with paralegals and administrative staff
* Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records
Required Qualifications
* *3–5 years of family law experience*
* *J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school*
* *Licensed and in good standing in both Missouri and Kansas*
* Courtroom experience as lead or second-chair counsel
* Ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong litigation, negotiation, and client-management skills
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
* *Extensive experience practicing in Johnson County, Kansas*
* This experience qualifies for *additional compensation beyond base salary and bonuses*

Bonuses are calculated quarterly and based *only on hours that are both billed and collected*.
