What is this role?
Cirkul is looking for a
Lead UI/UX Designer
to drive the strategy and execution of user-centered design across our digital experiences. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to both define the vision and roll up their sleeves to execute it. You'll be responsible for shaping how our customers discover, learn about, and engage with our products-improving clarity, conversion, and delight. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Engineering, while presenting design strategy directly to executive stakeholders, to deliver thoughtful and compelling user experiences that support our business objectives.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results: Define and own a rolling 12 month UX roadmap, aligned to Web/Ecommerce and company-wide OKRs. Lead user research and usability testing to identify friction points and inform design strategies. Use data-driven insights, A/B testing, and performance metrics to iterate and optimize design solutions. Analyze customer behavior across channels and touchpoints to propose improvements. Taking Ownership:
Own the end-to-end design process-from discovery to deployment-across mobile and web applications. Establish governance for a scalable design system, ensuring a consistent visual and interaction language. Making Decisions:
Translate business goals and user needs into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes that balance near-term UX KPIs with longer term vision. Map customer journeys and user flows that enhance onboarding, discovery, and product engagement. Cultivating Relationships:
Partner with Marketing leads, Product Managers, and Engineers to align design direction with brand, conversion, and product goals. Champion the user across cross-functional teams and be a trusted design voice in strategic conversations. Instilling Trust:
Communicate design concepts and decisions clearly, building consensus among cross-functional stakeholders and incorporating feedback with ease. Maintain a user-first mindset while balancing technical constraints and business needs. Customer Focus:
Deliver beautiful, intuitive, and highly functional interfaces that elevate the user experience. Stay on the pulse of UX/UI trends, emerging tech, and digital behavior to constantly push our design forward. What background should you have?
Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic and hands-on work. Proven experience owning design direction and managing programs/teams across major digital initiatives-ideally within eCommerce or DTC. Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design/prototyping tools. Strong understanding of user-centered design, conversion principles, information architecture, and responsive/mobile-first frameworks. Experience with A/B testing, user research, and data-informed decision making. Clear, confident communicator with excellent collaboration skills and comfort presenting to senior audiences. Experience working closely with marketing and eCommerce teams (DTC brand-specific experience is a big plus). What do we offer?
