About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for External Communications to spearhead the development and execution of critical communication strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that encompasses executive communications, media and messaging, marketing, and digital, with a key focus on evolving the organization's voice to be modern, connected, and digitally fluent. This role requires close collaboration with senior leaders to ensure the impact of outreach efforts is maximized and demands a digital-first, data-informed approach that tells the organization's story with authenticity and agility. The Vice President will also serve as the Public Information Officer, overseeing media relations and crisis communications, and will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends, including the use of generative AI and new content formats, to continually optimize the company's communication strategy.

Applicants for the Vice President of External Communications position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years of experience leading teams in external communication strategies. A deep understanding of the stakeholders served by the organization is essential, as is a proven track record in managing complex communication functions and aligning messaging across various platforms.
