Locum Rheumatologist Seeking a
Locum Rheumatologist
to begin
as soon as credentialed
to provide adult and geriatric rheumatology care in a
clinic-based practice with hospital call responsibilities . The assignment is
ongoing
due to a current vacancy, with an anticipated start closer to
April
based on credentialing timelines. Practice Setting Office/clinic with hospital-based call
Supported by MA, RN, and front desk staff
Trauma Level II facility
EMR:
Epic
Schedule & Call Clinic schedule:
4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts
Call:
24-hour hospital call , Tuesday Monday
Call frequency:
2 weeks per month (1:2 call ratio)
Patient Volume Clinic:
patients per day
Hospital:
Approximately 1 case per day
Clinical Responsibilities & Procedures Adult and geriatric rheumatology care
Joint aspirations
Corticosteroid injections
Inpatient rheumatology consults as needed
Team Structure 1 Rheumatologist on staff
Dedicated MA, RN, and front desk support
Credentialing Timeframe:

NPDB self-query required within 30 days of presentation
Requirements Board Certified in Rheumatology
Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology
Active
Michigan medical license
BLS certification
Ability to perform joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred)
Travel Local providers preferred
Travel reimbursement may be considered (flight, lodging, rental car, mileage)
