Urgent Care Physician. This is an excellent opportunity to practice with a collaborative team of providers and support staff, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and integrated EMR across the UK HealthCare system. Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of urgent medical conditions and minor injuries. Perform in-office procedures such as suturing, splinting, abscess drainage, and wound care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging. Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Refer patients for follow-up care with primary care or specialty providers as needed. Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Maintain current knowledge of best practices in urgent care and participate in continuing education. Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
