About the Role Flashfood is tackling one of the worlds most urgent challenges: reducing food waste while making groceries more affordable. We partner with grocery retailers across North America to connect shoppers with great deals on food nearing its best-before date. Were growing our footprint with independent and regional grocers and are looking for a Sales Executive to join our Independent Grocer Sales team. This is a full-cycle sales role responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing new independent grocery partners in your assigned region. Youll work closely with internal stakeholders and the Director of Independent Grocer Sales to build a strong pipeline and bring new banners onto the platform. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, relationship-driven sales professional with deep experience in the grocery space, particularly within independent and regional operations. You understand the nuance of grocery buying cycles, bring a value-based sales approach to every conversation, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

What Youll Do Own the full sales cycle for independent and regional grocery prospects in your territoryfrom lead generation to signed agreement

Develop and manage a robust pipeline in Hubspot, maintaining clean records and forecasting accuracy

Leverage your existing network in the independent grocery industry to generate meetings and drive referrals

Present Flashfoods value proposition and platform to operations, marketing, and executive stakeholders

Lead negotiations and proposal development, adapting deal structure based on partner needs

Execute a value-based sales approach rooted in customer pain points and ROI

Share partner feedback and market intelligence with internal teams to inform strategy and product roadmaps

Adapt to shifting regional assignments based on market opportunities and demand

About You 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in B2B grocery or foodtech environments

Proven track record selling into independent or regional grocery businesses

Strong understanding of grocery software buying processes, budgeting, and decision-making timelines

Existing network of relationships across operations, marketing, and leadership in the independent grocery space

Experience navigating long or complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

Highly skilled in phone-based and remote selling environmentsyoure energized by inside sales

Value-based selling mindsetyou focus on outcomes, not just features

Detail-oriented and organizedyour Hubspot records are always accurate and up to date

Self-starter who thrives in autonomy and is motivated by targets and impact

What Success Looks Like Consistent quota attainment and pipeline coverage

New independent and regional banners signed and successfully handed off to onboarding

Clear and consistent activity tracking in Hubspot

Defined, predictable close timelines and a shortened, optimized sales cycle

Positive feedback from prospective partners on communication, professionalism, and clarity

Collaboration with internal teams to improve process and unlock vertical-specific opportunities
