Pharmacy Technicians

to support clinical pharmacy operations within a correctional health environment in

East Elmhurst, NY . This position involves assisting licensed pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medication inventory while ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and institutional standards. This is a great opportunity to gain specialized experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting while contributing to the well-being of a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications accurately and efficiently. Rotate between various work areas, shifts, and assignments as needed to meet departmental demands. Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to designated areas. Maintain accurate drug inventory and ensure compliance with storage and handling requirements. Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems. Follow all federal, state, and institutional regulations related to pharmacy operations.

Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of

1 year of experience

as a Pharmacy Technician. Active

Registered Pharmacy Technician license

with the

New York State Education Department (NYSED) . Ability to provide two forms of valid identification for site clearance.

Preferred: Pharmacy dispensing experience. Sterile processing or IV room experience.

Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals across disciplines. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with safety protocols.
