We are currently seeking a seasoned
Director of Pharmacy
to lead the pharmacy department of a respected healthcare facility in northeastern Utah. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for a clinical pharmacy professional who thrives in an acute care setting and has a strong track record in regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and operational excellence. As the Director of Pharmacy, you'll be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, clinical performance, and day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department. This position is a great fit for someone passionate about enhancing patient outcomes through optimized medication management and interdepartmental collaboration.
How You'll Contribute Provide strategic and operational leadership for all pharmacy services. Develop and implement departmental goals and performance metrics aligned with the organization's mission and regulatory standards. Oversee budget preparation, compliance, and resource allocation. Manage hiring, training, evaluation, and professional development of pharmacy staff. Maintain quality assurance, audit readiness, and adherence to legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA. Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices in pharmacy operations. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve service delivery and patient care outcomes.
What Makes You a Great Fit Active UT pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date). Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution required. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred. Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy compliance, operations, and clinical best practices.
