1–2 years of recent pre-op or perioperative nursing experience preferred *****
Active State or Compact RN License *****
BLS – AHA; ACLS preferred *****
Strong assessment skills, ability to educate patients before procedures, and effective communication with surgical teams

The Pre-Op RN is responsible for preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, verifying pre-surgical instructions, initiating IVs, administering medications, and coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and readiness.
