R2663The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will provide professional clinical laboratory science services including specimen processing, analysis, and results reporting, as well as QA activities.**Requirements*** Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science (or 24 credits in Chemistry/Biology constituting a biological science major) as required by CLIA* Previous experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred* ASCP or AMT certification is preferred* Ability to work independently and within a team environment* Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus* High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills* Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen**Job Duties/Responsibilities*** Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria* Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures* Monitor, operate and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality* Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.* Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls* Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care* Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures* Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary* Assist with processing of specimens when needed* Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentHourly Rate: Please note that the hourly range for this position will vary based on experience level, education, and geographical location.Hourly Rate Range: $31-33 per hour.Physical Demands and Work Environment:* Exposed to both biohazardous and hazardous substances.* May be exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases.* Exposure to odorous chemicals and specimens.The physical demands and work environment for this position is representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**What We are Offer You**At U.S. Urology Partners, we are guided by four core values.
