Personal Support Worker Trainee – Paid Training Program Location: Hamilton – Wentworth, ON | Job Type: HSW/PSW training program | Employment Status: Part time.

SE Health is excited to offer this new sponsored Personal Support Worker Training Program to provide a new generation of passionate PSW’s with the skills they need to help people in our communities.

Are you someone who wants to put their energy and passion for life towards caring for others? We are seeking committed, compassionate people who can multi-task to meet a variety of challenges.

Training Program Overview

Six‑month program includes five (5) weeks of PAID PSW Training at $19.05/hr. Monday‑Friday 11:00 AM‑4:00 PM.

After the first five weeks, successful candidates are paid to work part‑time in the community while continuing PSW education.

The program continues with four months of virtual learning, three weeks of in‑person skills lab, and required placements.

Training covers personal care activities, household management, and general support.

Requirements

Ability to travel and attend meetings to support patients.

Valid G or G2 driver’s license and reliable vehicle are mandatory.

Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certificate within three weeks of start date.Proof of updated required immunizations (MMR, Varicella/Zoster, HepB, Tetanus) and a negative tuberculosis test (within last six months).

Clear police check and vulnerable sector check (upon job offer).
