Full Time Shift Supervisor
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Hours: Sunday through Wednesday 1:30pm to 11:30pm

Overview of the role Ensure that clients are being cared for in a Trauma Informed environment using positive youth development. Ensure implementation of program goals including, but not limited to, role modeling positive interactions, demonstrating appropriate boundaries, demonstrating the ability to manage a group. Supervising Youth Specialists. Ensure that staff onboarding, training, and continuing education are provided to Youth Specialists. Maintain documentation and report any disciplinary actions using the Progressive Discipline Standard Operating Procedure. On-Call staff member for the shelter program for a week at a time in a rotation amongst all leadership (approximately every 7 weeks but subject to change with the needs of shelter). Responding in a timely manner (within one hour) to any calls for client placement into the shelter program.
The schedule is:
Sunday 1:30pm-11:30pm
Monday 1:30-11:30pm
Tuesday 1:30-11:30pm
Wednesday 12pm to 10pm

The annual base salary range for this position is $19 per hour, plus our generous benefit package of $12,000 per year. What you’ll do

What you need
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with at-risk youth required
AA degree or BA degree in a related field preferred
Previous supervisor experience preferred
High comfort with computers with ability to type quickly and multi-task
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Valid driver’s license and be insurable by the agency auto insurance policy
Pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2 Crisis Services
Live in Iowa
Live within 50 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA
Submit copy of college degree or transcript as required by licensure for personnel file
Be at least 21 years of age
Successfully complete required trainings within required time periods
Complete a physical exam prior to the beginning of employment and every three (3) years thereafter
Be free of communicable diseases as determined by a physician
Experience in crisis services preferred
Experience working with and compassion for at-risk youth preferred
Education or training in trauma-informed care is preferred
Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques preferred
Knowledge/experience working in the mental health, substance use, and/or problem gambling field preferred
