Behavioral Health Therapist

Job Summary and Responsibilities You will provide high quality patient care by performing intake assessment, determining diagnosis, developing and maintaining treatment plans, conducting concurrent reviews, and discharge planning for patients in the Behavioral Health Program. Therapy may include individual, family, couples or group counseling as appropriate, using clinically sound and evidence-based practices in accordance with state mental health laws, regulatory agencies, and policies and standards of care.
Schedule This BHT role works at the CommonSpirit Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Opportunity after training to work a hybrid schedule of in‑office and remote work.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field
Two years of direct behavioral clinical experience providing individual, group or family therapy in an inpatient or outpatient setting
Competence with DSM diagnostic criteria and treatment planning
Demonstrates clinical and ethical professionalism, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
EAP knowledge and experience preferred
Kansas license in one of the following disciplines: Clinical Psychologist (PSY), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CHMC) (Utah only), Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (RN CNS) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (RN NP), Psych Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC)
Allowable: Kansas license in the state of employment in one of the following disciplines: Certified Social Worker (CSW), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACHMC), Associate Level Mental Health Therapy License, or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Utah only) if proper supervision is met by hospital staff.
Pay Range $28.94 – $41.99 per hour
