Chemist 2 PR: $26-30/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd shift
Hours: 2:00 PM / 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Job Summary
Join a dedicated second-shift Quality Control team in a regulated GMP laboratory. We are seeking self-motivated professionals for Chemist 1 and 2 roles to perform analytical testing using HPLC and wet chemistry (IR, pH, TLC). You will ensure strict adherence to Compendial methods (USP, EP, JP) and Good Documentation Practices. Chemist 2 candidates will leverage expertise in Method Validation and Technical Writing to manage projects with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Analytical Testing:
Perform testing using HPLC, IR, pH, TLC, and solubility techniques following compendial methods (USP/EP/JP).
Quality Assurance:
Conduct peer reviews of data, execute validation protocols, and investigate Out-of-Spec (OOS) results to determine root causes.
Compliance:
Verify instruments, adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity principles, and maintain ISO/OSHA safety standards.
Chemist 2 Duties:
Draft and execute validation protocols, write technical reports, and manage larger projects independently.
Education & Qualifications
Required:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Life Science with 5+ years laboratory experience OR Associate’s degree with 10+ years experience.
Skills:
Proven experience in a GMP laboratory with HPLC and Wet Chemistry techniques.
Chemist 1: Experience with at least one compendial standard (USP, EP, or JP).
Chemist 2: Experience with multiple compendial standards, Method Validation, and Technical Writing.
Preferred:
Experience with Auto Titrators and FTIR.
