Security Shift Supervisor Location: Billings Clinic Main Campus

Shift: Varies

Employment Status: Full‑Time

Hours: 80 hours every two weeks (non‑exempt)

Starting Wage: $21.70 – $27.12 DOE

The Security Team maintains the safety of staff, patients and visitors. The Security Shift Supervisor provides leadership, ensures comprehensive training, promotes a customer‑service approach to de‑escalation, and manages escalation situations in the Billings Clinic environment.

Essential Job Functions

Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, values, code of conduct and service expectations.

Provides supervision and promotes the health and welfare of all officers assigned to the Security team.

Ensures quality of service and policy compliance through regular inspections of security personnel during shifts.

Protects staff, property, and patients from theft, vandalism, and workplace violence.

Maintains physical security at all campus locations.

Exhibits strong public‑relations skills while interacting with visitors and staff.

Monitors entrances and exits during emergency‑management situations, including flood control.

Prevents unlawful entry and supports patients’ Plan of Care.

Communicates pertinent information to management regarding service, operations, and non‑routine incidents.

Acts as resource for security staff, providing assistance with questions and problem resolution.

Identifies personal growth needs, sets goals, and maintains safety standards competency.

Performs additional duties as assigned to meet department and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

4‑year Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or related field preferred.

Experience:

2–4 years supervisory/management experience in industrial, corporate security or law‑enforcement/military environments.

Certifications & Licenses:

IAHSS Supervisors Certification within six months of appointment; valid Montana State Driver’s License; Security Officer license at hire.
