Paint Booth Cleaners
to join our team at the
GM Factory Zero plant
located in
Detroit, MI . These individuals will be responsible for janitorial activities, lifting, water blasting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas and documentation as required in an automotive manufacturing facility. Shift Schedule
Shift:
1st, 2nd, 3rd Schedule: 1st - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 2nd - 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 3rd - 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Responsibilities and Job Duties
Utilizes solvents, and high-pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi for industrial cleaning. Performs manual scraping and chipping to clean surfaces such as walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc. Executes minor maintenance as needed. Vacuums and wipes the interior and exterior of equipment. Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming. Performs other specialized paint booth cleaning tasks as required. Performs lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paintshop. Performs safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned. Performs general janitorial duties including office and restroom cleaning. Requirements and Qualifications
Three years minimum of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to stand, kneel, bend and reach within 6 inches of the ground for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty. Ability to lift, carry and pull equipment of various size, shape, and weight. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to pass a drug test and physical examination.
