Primary Responsibilities Position Summary:
The Student Assistant in the Office of Civic Engagement & Student Assistance supports the planning and execution of community service initiatives, assists with marketing and outreach efforts, supports student assistance services and programs like transportation, and helps with daily office operations. This role also provides direct support to the Lobo Pantry, contributing to student well-being and access to basic needs. The position offers hands‑on experience in civic engagement, event planning, communication, and student support services.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing community service events and activities such as SAAC Field Day, The Big Event, and more.
Support student engagement recruitment, event logistics, and day‑of event operations.
Support marketing efforts for events, programs, and resources through flyers, digital graphics, social media and campus outreach.
Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, filing, and data entry.
Assist with the daily operations of the Lobo Pantry including marketing, social media, data entry, record keeping, inventory, and food distribution.
Drive university vehicle to transport students from main campus to RAS or other Alpine locations.
Greet and assist visitors to the office, creating a welcoming and inviting environment.
Other duties as assigned.

The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
