Step Teachers KS1 Teacher Role Step Teachers are seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers for daily and short-term supply roles across primary schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible. This opportunity is within a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools that foster a positive learning environment. Pupils are encouraged to be curious, confident, and respectful, while staff are supported through strong leadership and a collaborative ethos. These schools promote high standards and provide enriching experiences that support both academic and personal development.
KS1 Teacher Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Follow school planning or adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
Work collaboratively with support staff and senior leaders
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate for KS1 Teacher Roles
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Strong classroom management and communication skills as KS1 Teachers.
Adaptable and confident working across different year groups
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
