Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities'+>

The multi‑modality Radiology Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment of patients, including injection skills as needed, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or Kč. Their duties include:

Operate highly specialized technical equipment to obtain quality images, including IV contrast injections.

Schedule and register patients; maintain patient files.

Evaluate, prepare, position, and observe patients with a high degree of professionalism and safety.

Comply with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Train students and staff as assigned.

Interpret independiente information to identify patient requirements and provide care per applicable policies.

Interact withडी patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.

Work with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.

May provide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or GED; graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training in Angiography, Diagnostic Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound. Experience: None required, but experience in CT and MRI strongly preferred. Licensure/Certification: ARRT registry (or eligible); AHA Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP) required. MRI technologists must be registered in MRI or meet ARRT candidate requirements мәлум for advanced certification; CT registry required within 2 years of hire if not already registered. Modality‑specific registries must be obtained within the specified timeframes:

Mammography: Registry within 24 months.

MRI Technology: Certified/registered by ARRT in MRI or meet candidate requirements; 2 years to complete advanced MRI certification.

Breast Ultrasound: Registry within 24 months.

Other Requirements

Interpersonal and technical skills; flexibility in assignments; ability to function independently; good computer and communication skills.
