Austin Oaks Hospital is an 80‑bed facility that offers a broad spectrum of psychiatric services for adults and adolescents. Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY:
Therapist‑PRN at Inpatient Hospital; responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
Liaising with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families and outside agencies.
Assessing, designing, structuring and implementing therapeutic services that best meet the needs of patients and their families.
Collaboratively working as a treatment team member under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director.
Licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC‑I, or LMFT‑A).
Preferred: Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience.
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Current State Licensure; Current CPR or BLS certification; Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date; Identified as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).
EXPERIENCE:
Required: At least 6 months of work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Preferred: Prior inpatient psychiatric experience.
