Job Summary Assist in daily operations of the Rotogravure press, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality production output during the overnight shift.

Location Columbus, WI

Shift 3rd Shift (11 pm–7 am)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in training and embrace STOP Safety Program fundamentals to aid APC’s efforts to achieve a zero‑accident rate.

Retrieve all necessary set‑up information/specifications/guidelines and follow instructions on the job jacket.

Complete all machine changeover/set‑up processes, minimizing machine downtime and meeting or exceeding set‑up standard requirements; develop set‑up procedure documentation as needed.

Correctly complete daily production sheets, process condition sheets, waste logs, final release forms, ink paperwork, and quality inspection logs; ensure job order information matches the product manufactured.

Assist production machinery equipment monitoring quality, production, and waste, adhering to all customer specifications.

Keep immediate work area free of clutter and debris; perform all cleaning/sanitation responsibilities, safely using required cleaning solutions and protective equipment.

Remove rolls from rewind, hang rolls on rewind, make up doctor blades, prep print carriages, bring correct inks and lacquers, configure ink ratios, dispose of ink, solvents, and lacquers, maintain ink viscosities, and cut cores.

Operate the viscosity control system.

Document all required online quality data and complete necessary sheets for quality checks.

Actively participate in safety programs and complete required safety observations; understand and follow plant safety rules.

Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings (Continuous Quality Improvement, safety, special projects, departmental, etc.).

Be able to work all scheduled shifts and required overtime вентиля.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, and present simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios, percentages; interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to perform each essential duty described; reasonable accommodations for disabilities may be made.

Physical Demands & Work Environment Manually lift up to 50 lb. Regularly use hands, fingers, touch, speak, hear; frequently sit, reach, sometimes stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock; noise usually/widgets loud.
