Env Services Aide, Marshall Medical Centers South, Full Time, Shift Varies

Overview The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position. Environmental Care Assistants practice proper cleaning procedures to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for the patients, staff and visitors. Environmental Care Assistants function under the authority and direct supervision of the department supervisor and/or department Director. Some of the many skills performed:

Follows proper policies and procedures mandated by Marshall Health Systems and those of the department.

Cleans occupied and discharged patient rooms

Cleans isolation, sterile and high risk areas

Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, workrooms, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to maintain a consistently clean and pleasant environment

Follows established procedures for distribution and disposal of trash and linen while maintaining performance standards regarding infection control and safety

Follows standards regarding infection control and safety duties as assigned

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications Education:

High School or equivalent preferred
