Peer Support Specialist - Full‑time
Michiana Behavioral Health is seeking a full‑time Peer Support Specialist to work in Outpatient Services. This position is responsible for providing support and education to patients and family members that serve as an adjunct to direct clinical services and enhance patient's personal pathway to recovery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible to meet with patients in their homes to complete sessions and collect drug screen samples
Facilitates patient's readiness for change
Models coping techniques and self‑help strategies
Assists patients in linking to community support and treatment services
Assists patients in setting personal recovery goals and developing recovery care plans.

Qualifications
High school graduate or GED
Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) or Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC I and CAPRC II)
Valid driver's license
Have a personal lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, substance use or problem gambling and/or assisted a family member with the same.
