Positions We are seeking a Ready-Mix Driver for County Materials at the following locations:
Fulltime/Seasonal:
Eagle River, Wisconsin
Fulltime with possibility of a layoff in the winter:
Hazelhurst, Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Merrill, Medford, Antigo, Marathon, Weston, Rothschild, Stevens Point, Custer, Wisconsin Rapids, and Marshfield. All of Wisconsin.
Job Summary Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for delivering concrete from the batching plant to assigned job sites in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. You'll inspect and operate mixer trucks, evaluate concrete consistency, and ensure loads meet required specifications. This role requires a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and high-quality service while working in various outdoor conditions throughout the year.
Job Duties
Deliver ready mix concrete to job sites in accordance with safety and quality standards
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections using a tablet
Evaluate concrete consistency and adjust as needed
Maintain cleanliness of mixer truck using water hoses, scrapers, and brushes
Demonstrate strong customer service skills on every job site
Complete and collect customer signatures on delivery tickets, waivers, and payments
Exercise sound judgment for safe worksite access, unloading, and maneuvering
Follow turn-by-turn directions via tablet
Utilize PPE in designated areas (steel-toed shoes, hard hat, eye/ear protection)
Track truck hours; grease equipment as required (every 100 hours)
Assist with chipping hardened concrete from drums (as applicable by plant)
Participate in plant maintenance (cleaning, organization, equipment upkeep)
Support general yard cleanliness including sweeping and debris removal
Read and acknowledge weekly Safety Data Sheets
Engage in ongoing safety and communication updates
Work Environment
Working in outdoor weather conditions.
Work near moving machinery and equipment.
Work alongside moving traffic on roads.
Physical Requirements
Lift objects of various dimensions and weights up to 50-100 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, reach squat, push, and pull objects.
Frequent Sitting.
Carrying/Lifting to 100 pounds.
Standing / Walking / Climbing.
Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending.
Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications
Must possess a Class B or A CDL license with air brake endorsement.
Maintain an active DOT qualification.
Minimum 2 years prior driving experience required.
Ability to perform well in a "Team" environment.
Self‑motivator and must be flexible to accommodate the client's needs; schedule variations may occur.
