Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, the facilities assistant will serve as an integral part of the Law School facilities team providing outstanding customer service to faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities*
Input data into work order database and track work orders
Facilitate work requests and follow up for bldg. maintenance and classroom setups
Respond to emails and phone calls promptly
Order general office supplies for central stock
Handle shipping supply orders for all vendors
Flag honors - lower and raise American flag as needed
Provide backup for other facilities team members during staff absences
Follow through on special building projects during breaks: simple cleaning, classrooms, and maintenance projects
Conduct regular walk through visual inspections of all three buildings
Assist with event setup and breakdown
Assist with office relocations and furniture moves
Maintain keypad locks and clocks in offices and classrooms
Run errands to various campus locations
Replace restroom supplies as needed and upon requests
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience working in facilities and or custodial/building services
Excellent attendance record
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications*
Experienced working in a fast‑paced facilities environment performing custodial and facilities duties at a University of Michigan facility
