DIVISIONS AND JOB FUNCTIONS Asset Management Division

provides institutional and individual investors with investment and advisory solutions, with strategies spanning asset classes, industries, and geographies. We help our clients navigate today’s dynamic markets and identify opportunities that shape their portfolios and long‑term investment goals. We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, individuals and family offices. The Asset Management Division also invests in corporate equity and debt, real estate equity and debt, and infrastructure worldwide. Consisting of hundreds of professionals in multiple offices around the world, our business operates on a global platform.

Fundamental Equity

conducts original, bottom‑up research across a broad range of capitalizations and styles, spanning global developed and emerging markets. This team utilizes growth equity, value equity, global equity, and real‑estate securities strategies.

Fixed Income

seeks to uncover opportunities across borders and in under‑researched markets. We use independent specialist teams for bottom‑up and top‑down decisions, and for generating strategies within their areas of expertise. The Fixed Income team includes money market products, central funding and liquidity management businesses.

Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS)

provides investors with investment and advisory solutions across leading hedge‑fund, private‑equity, real‑estate, public‑equity, and fixed‑income strategies, and environmental, social and governance integrated and impact investments. The AIMS Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector‑specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services.

Global Portfolio Solutions

is a leading provider of multi‑asset‑class investment solutions tailored to the specific needs and objectives of institutional clients. With professionals located around the world focused on investment and services, the team performs research, develops market insights, implements and manages multi‑asset allocation strategies including tactical investment decisions and risk‑management processes.

Goldman Sachs Investment Partners Venture Capital and Growth Equity

pursues minority‑stake investments in private companies at all stages, including venture, expansion‑stage growth, and more mature, pre‑IPO companies. The team seeks to back visionary entrepreneurs building technology‑enabled businesses where Goldman Sachs can be a value‑add partner.

Credit Alternatives

manages approximately $13 bn of total capital, using a bottom‑up, fundamentally based approach to provide fixed‑income strategies that yield differentiated sources of return over the long term. Current strategies include Private Middle‑Market Credit and Renewable Power. On behalf of clients, the team manages a range of commingled funds, including a publicly listed business‑development company (NYSE: GSBD), separate accounts, and a private yieldco (Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC).

Equity Investing

team invests in private equity, infrastructure, and growth‑stage technology companies across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Credit Investing

associates work on small deal teams that identify, structure, execute and monitor corporate debt investments across leveraged buy‑outs, take‑privates, add‑on acquisitions and recapitalizations.

Real Estate

team supports real‑estate investing across multiple product types, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, construction and development oversight, financings and dispositions.

Infrastructure

manages three funds that invest globally in infrastructure opportunities in sectors such as energy, telecommunications and transportation.

Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy (ACMS)

oversees all institutional capital markets, capital‑raising and strategy for alternative investments, including private equity, credit, real‑estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing and absolute‑return strategies.

Corporate Treasury

is tasked with finding the best ways for Goldman Sachs to deploy its financial resources within regulatory guidelines and the firm’s risk appetite. Treasury teams play a key role in the management of liquidity, funding, capital and allocation of financial resources to align with the firm’s overall strategy.

Treasury Execution Services

focuses on asset‑liability management execution including liability issuance, hedging, and capital execution. The team manages the firm’s excess liquidity portfolio, including cash and collateral management.

Global Markets Division

enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed‑income, equity, currency and commodity products.

Equities teams

transact in stocks, convertible securities, options and futures, and provide financing, securities lending and other services for institutional investors.

Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities teams

transact in interest‑rate products, credit products, mortgages, currencies and commodities.

Private Wealth Management (PWM)

secures, develops and manages relationships with high net‑worth individuals, families and foundations. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth‑management products and services.

Investment Banking Division

works on complex financial challenges and transactions for corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors and governments. We advise on mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and other pivotal transactions.

Industry Group Coverage Banking

delivers banking services across a wide range of industries worldwide, building relationships and executing transactions.

Financing Group Coverage Banking

structures and executes financing and risk‑management solutions across the full product spectrum, including equity, debt and derivatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (2018 – June 2022)

0–3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field

Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through

Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses

Ability to self‑direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments

Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders

Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States‑based position is $70 000–$95 000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
