GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst
Our client is seeking a highly skilled GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst to support enterprise geospatial platforms, data integrations, and mapping applications in a complex, utility‑scale environment. This role blends hands‑on ESRI system design with database, server, and application integration work, requiring someone who can translate business needs into reliable, scalable GIS solutions. The ideal candidate is both technically deep and highly collaborative, with a passion for building geospatial systems that drive operational efficiency.
This role is a hybrid model in Sacramento, California.
GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst Responsibilities
Design, document, and maintain ESRI geodatabase schemas and integration requirements to support enterprise geospatial data and downstream applications.
Build and administer ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases, including data models, spatial references, security, and feature class structures.
Develop and support integrations between ESRI platforms and external systems using APIs, REST services, and database connections.
Create, publish, and manage ESRI web maps, feature services, and REST endpoints for enterprise mapping and data access.
Configure and support GIS‑related virtual servers, including database and ArcGIS Enterprise components, in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
Develop, enhance, and deploy ESRI‑based mapping applications that support operational workflows and data visualization.
Maintain and deploy map layers, including symbology, pop‑ups, filtering, and scale configurations.
Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to ensure long‑term platform sustainability.
GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst Qualifications
Proven hands‑on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, including Server, Portal, Datastore, and Enterprise Geodatabase environments.
Strong background designing and implementing ESRI geodatabase schemas, feature classes, and web map or feature services.
Experience working with ESRI SDE and enterprise databases such as Oracle and/or SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and data operations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy GIS server technologies and integrations.
Experience configuring and supporting ESRI mobile solutions such as Survey123, Collector, and Runtime.
Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and enterprise geospatial architecture.
Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, and infrastructure partners in a highly technical environment.
Experience working with utility, infrastructure, or asset‑based geospatial data is a strong plus.
Recent ESRI training, certifications, or active project experience is preferred.
