River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County, and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services and education and recovery groups.
Program Overview River Edge is actively seeking a Full-time Health Service Technician to join our Adult Crisis unit. In this role, you will be responsible for attending to clients' needs by listening to their concerns, observing their behavior, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Additionally, you will assist clients in engaging in social and recreational activities, maintain a secure environment conducive to treatment, provide basic patient care, and support clients in developing daily living skills. The starting rate is $14.00.
Schedule The schedule entails three (3) 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week, with work required every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors vital signs and promptly communicates findings to nursing staff.
Assists with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, shaving, and dressing as necessary.
Prepares clients for medical treatments or examinations as directed.
Facilitates recreational and social activities for clients.
Observes and accurately documents patient data, behavior, and activities.
Always ensures the safety and security of clients.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
At least one (1) year working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities). PREFERRED.
