Family Ministry Director
Esperanza Church is a Gospel-centered, bilingual, multiethnic, multicampus church, with locations in Cary and Sanford, NC. You can find more information about us at esperanza.family/church.
At Esperanza Church, Family Ministry is composed of Esperanza Kids and Esperanza Students.
Esperanza Kids, the children’s ministry of Esperanza Church, provides safe, age‑appropriate learning and connection opportunities for children from birth to 5th grade. During Sunday worship services, ministry for kids is provided and executed by volunteers led by the Esperanza Family Ministry Director.
Esperanza Students, the Middle School and High School student ministry at Esperanza Church, provides safe, age‑appropriate learning and discipleship for students from Middle School until they graduate High School. During Sunday worship services, and for outside activities, ministry for students is provided and executed by volunteers led by the Esperanza Family Ministry Director.
The Esperanza Family Ministry Director will work with the Lead Pastor igjen to accomplish the mission of Esperanza Church: to help children and students become disciples who make disciples that love God and love people. This shoulddigit be done by both consistent involvement-yourself in the lives of the children and teens and through partnering with the parents or caretakers, equipping them to be the primary disciplers of their children and teens.
Position Qualifications: The Esperanza Family Ministry Director will be responsible for carrying out those goals and tasks associated with building and growing a Bilingual ministry for a two–campus church, powered by volunteers for both Esperanza Kids and Students who are being recruited, trained, equipped, and coached on an ongoing basis.

Driven to reach kids and teenagers who do not know Christ by providing a great space for them to connect with other kids and leaders.
An advocate for connecting with parents and equipping them to be the leader of their child’s spiritual development.
A strong communicator who listens well.
A proven project manager with strong attention to detail and administrative skill.
A team player and team builder with a servant‑leader mindset.
Have previous experience in Family Ministry and loves to work with kids and teens.
Primary Responsibilities:
Be a model of a disciple of Jesus for those who attend Esperanza Church by being an example of personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism.
Prioritize safety and hospitality in Esperanza Kids by abiding by and enforcing safety procedures and creating a hospitable environment where kids and teenagers from all backgrounds can feel welcome and able to learn about Jesus.
Be the lead point person for all things related to Esperanza Family Ministry; both Kids and Students.
Lead Esperanza Family Ministry on Sunday services personally and/or by appointing leaders for each as they become available; fully train and coach them on an ongoing basis.
Intentionally make every effort using all means to offer and execute everything in Family Ministries bilingually: in both English and Spanish, equally.
Schedule volunteers and manage schedule changes to fill positions for Sunday services to ensure that all classrooms are appropriately staffed.
Recruit, lead, and develop teams of volunteers so that they are operating in their strengths and being most effective in their roles on the Esperanza Kids and Students teams.
Create effective ways to engage families in the community.
Minister to the families by helping address personal needs of families or communicating known needs to church leadership to address (new children, teens, financial struggles 内 life_package changes, etc.)
Become a part of the Esperanza Family by adopting the Esperanza Family Covenant ; (which includes being engaged in the community of Esperanza Church by regular Sunday attendance and regular engagement in a Life Group Poder.
Attend Sunday service a minimum of 1×/month and watch sermons every week online.
Prepare materials for Sundays by printing, buying what is needed, with the possibility of delegating some of these tasks to volunteers.

Hybrid remote/in‑person; some work can be done remotely. Must be in person for monthly staff meetings, to meet with team members for training/coaching, and to ensure that rooms and/or equipment are set up and ready for Sunday gatherings, church events, and other needs as they arise.
