Marineland Dolphin Adventure
The Education Coordinator serves as a leader among staff to ensure development and implementation of a positive learning experience for Marineland guests. The Coordinator facilitates a wide range of duties for Marineland including, but not limited to, expanding the vision and reach of education programs, training, evaluation, and retention of Education Department employees, development of both revenue generating and complimentary opportunities, and coordination of special events. Responsibilities: Coordinate the long term goals and strategic plan for education programs Work with animal care and research staff to highlight and educate our guests on the wellbeing, research and conservation efforts of our organization. Achieve annually established revenue goals; expand and develop plans for increased revenue generation. Develop creative new education programs customized for the needs of the community. Prioritize growth and improvement of Marineland flagship education programs including field trips and summer camps. Serve as a supervisor to the Marineland educators. Develop plans for the successful evaluation of all programs and guest experiences. Provide the highest standard of customer service to our guests. Assists with the care and maintenance of the facility. Be involved in local and national associations that will foster the development of skills and our industry. Performs other duties as workload necessitates. Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in zoology, biology, ichthyology, marine biology, education, or related fields. Four years’ experience teaching formal or informal education Enjoy working with children and animals. Experience interpreting animal or museum exhibits. Experience working with living exhibits is a plus. Works well with others. Knowledge of wildlife conservation, research and environmental issues. Excellent time management skills. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Products. How to Apply
